Doral Central Park

 Doral is a fast expanding, diversified community with a median age of thirty-four. Doris and Alfred Kaskel acquired 2,400 acres of swampland in the late 1950s with the intention of building a hotel and golf course.

Not unexpectedly, as the Doral community has expanded well above its creators' expectations, so has the need for outdoor activity space and recreational spaces.

The new Doral Central Park development is a large and fascinating project in both scope and scale. The park, which sits on 82 acres with magnificent lake vistas, is meant to become a regional centre for recreation and special events.

This 82-acre park is the city's largest and hosts major events including EGGstravaganza and the Independence Day Celebration. Its broad natural areas and stunning lake vistas are perfect for business and community meetings. Doral Central Park is situated in Doral's business district, next to the offices of Carnival Cruise Lines and the United States Southern Command.

The Park divides the site into activity zones. A wide entry drive on the lake's axis leads to a roundabout and plaza with a fountain. The circular road that surrounds the plaza allows for easy access to the Recreation Center to the east and the Aquatics Center to the west. 

The Aquatic Center is designed for concurrent contest and leisure use, with the following accommodations:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 a.m. - Sunset
